The primary purpose of the Junior Officer role is to support airport operations by:
- Monitoring and allocating airport resources

⭐ Key Responsibilities (Detailed)
✔ 1. Airport Resource Allocation
Under the guidance of the Duty Manager, you will allocate:
- Parking stands
- Boarding gates
- Check-in counters
- Baggage belts
This must be done based on airline requirements to ensure smooth operation throughout your shift.
✔ 2. Monitoring Ground & Tower Frequencies
You must continuously monitor airport-specific ground and tower communication to detect:
- Deviations in taxi routing
- Incorrect stand assignments
- Ramp congestion risk
- Events that may lead to delays or safety concerns
Proactive monitoring helps prevent incidents.
✔ 3. Ensuring Accurate Flight Information Updates
You will update:
- Real-time flight status
- Event timestamps
- Delay reasons
- Operational changes
This information appears on Flight Information Display Systems (FIDS) and is crucial for passenger experience.
✔ 4. Handling Emergency & Irregular Operations
During critical situations like:
- Go Around
- Bird hit
- Abort take-off
- Ramp return
- Excursion or incursion
You must record accurate data and relay information quickly for operational decision-making.
✔ 5. Slot Management for Non-Scheduled Flights
You will handle slot requests for private, charter, or government flights by:
- Verifying documents
- Checking stand availability
- Coordinating with Duty Manager before issuing permissions
✔ 6. VIP & High-Value Movements
You will manage urgent and high-priority movements including:
- Government officials
- Industrialists
- Foreign dignitaries
This requires professionalism, timely response, and confidentiality.
